§ 265.81. Entries to be made.

  • When any instrument entitled to be recorded shall be presented to said Division of Land Records, there shall be forthwith endorsed thereupon the date, hour and minute of its receipt for recording and an entry shall be made in the proper tickler, or daily index, of the name of every party executing or affected by such instrument and the date of record thereof. In the event that such instrument affects real property in more than one town or city, then such entries shall be made in the tickler or daily index for each such town or city. Within 90 days after its receipt for recording, such instrument shall be indexed in the proper book or books of the permanent town and city indexes.
