§ 543.01. Creation; membership.

There is hereby created a Deferred Compensation Board consisting of eleven members, six of whom shall be the following County officers:

a.

The County Executive Officer.

b.

The Chairman of the County Board of Legislators.

c.

The County Budget Director.

d.

The County Attorney.

e.

The Commissioner of the County Department of Finance.

f.

The County Commissioner of Human Resources.

The remaining five members shall be appointed by the County Executive subject to confirmation by the Westchester County Board of Legislators. Three members shall be chosen from qualified members of the general public and two members shall be members of two separate unions that contract with the County, who are chosen from the recommendations made by the leadership of the labor unions that contract with the County. All five of the members appointed shall reside in Westchester County and shall be qualified County electors who exhibit a high degree of training, experience, knowledge and interest in fiscal management and shall possess such other qualifications as the County Executive may reasonably prescribe.
