If any word, phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph, section or part of this article
shall be adjudged by any court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, such judgment
shall not affect, impair or invalidate the remainder thereof but shall be confined
in its operation to the word, phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph, section or part
thereof directly involved in the controversy in which such judgment shall have been
rendered. The sole intent of this article is to establish a Westchester County Board
of Plumbing Examiners and to empower such board to issue a county-wide plumbing license.
Nothing contained in this article is intended to supersede any other existing statutory
or local laws or ordinances relating to plumbing work.
