§ 273.44. Powers and duties of the Police Board.

  • The Police Board shall consult with and advise the Commissioner/Sheriff or his designee on matters affecting the Division of Westchester County Police; shall receive from the Commissioner/Sheriff for review a monthly report of the activities of the Division of Westchester County Police; and shall refer to the Commissioner/Sheriff for investigation complaints regarding the conduct of any member of the Division of Westchester County Police which they may receive. The board shall meet at least once a month and at such times as either the Commissioner/Sheriff, the Chairman or two other members may deem necessary. A special meeting may be called by giving at least two days notice to the other members of the board of the time and place where the meeting is to be held. A record shall be kept of all meetings and a copy of the minutes of each meeting submitted to the Commissioner/Sheriff.
