§ 265.151. Method of correcting entries.

  • No entry in any book or index in the division of land records shall be erased so as to be illegible, but any correction shall be made without destroying the original by drawing a line through such original entry and in all cases the date of such correction, attested by the signature of the County Clerk or a deputy in charge shall be entered upon the same page upon which such correction is made, on the margin opposite such correction. Nothing in this section shall prevent the use of paste-over strips in the ticklers when used in regard to all instruments after the recording data thereon is available.
