§ 131.01. Department established.

  • There shall be a Department of Public Works and Transportation, the head of which shall be the Commissioner of Public Works and Transportation. He shall be appointed on the basis of his administrative experience and his qualifications for the duties of the office, and shall be legally qualified to practice engineering in the State of New York. He may serve as the chief officer of any bureau of the department.
